With the old Poplar given a radical trim and freshen-up, and the roots under the house now under control, we’ve been left with masses of logs the tree surgeons kindly spent time delivering down to the car port.
On the other side of our boundary with the neighbouring farm is a pond which overspills and trickles into our garden when we have heavy rain. The land is already quite water-logged in places and the recent autumn downpours has resulted in really quite soggy ground. The giant Poplar which sits on the boundary is just meters from the pond which explains its verdant and magnificent nature.
