Hello! I wanted to update you all on new things happening in the Nourish & Flow clinic as you might be aware that I have recently moved into my shiny brand new naturopathic clinic and herbal dispensary. The clinic is positioned in the herb garden from which I have made quite a lot of my own tinctures and dried plants for decoctions and infusions.
I had always envisioned my clients walking up to the clinic having already met some of the herbs they might be working with. It felt important to me that there would be an invitation to get to know the herbs, see them properly, feel and even taste them. Most herbal formulas can contain up to eight herbs and it is so easy to just take a tincture without really understanding nor being able to visualise the plant that is being consumed. This doesn’t feel very personalised to me. I do really believe that having some basic understanding of what the herb looks like and what the herbal action is, will play a big role in the connection and healing process.
I can’t prescribe herbs to patients just yet as I am yet to finalise my studies this year so for the time being my herbs are reserved for me, friends and family to explore and get to know well.
I am however super delighted to be offering in-person health and wellness coaching and nutrition consultations. I am also offering food sensitivity testing in clinic as a stand-alone service with personalised nutritional plans based on results.
Why chose in-clinic testing over lab testing?
It’s quick, easy and non-scary! You’ll be in my cosy clinic and I will make sure you are totally at ease. A tiny blood sample is taken from a finger and analysed for IgG antibodies to major foods such as types of grain, fish, nuts and dairy (not IgE which are food allergies such as celiac disease and need to be tested in a lab).
Once the results are in I give you your personalised nutrition plan along with lifestyle recommendations. After four weeks you will be invited for a follow-up to review.
Do my results get shared with anyone?
No! Many people are concerned about where their data gets shared and blood samples go when ordering lab tests. In-clinic testing means the results go straight to you and are not sent anywhere.
Why is this test useful for me?
I see SO many people really confused and doing a lot of guesswork when it comes to knowing what to eat. A simple sensitivities test can eliminate the doubt and also pin-point and confirm why you might be experiencing any symptoms.
Who is the test for?
I’d say it’s useful for everybody! But particularly if you are experiencing any digestive disorders, inflammation of any sort or atopic-like symptoms it’s a great way of identifying trigger foods.
How much does it cost?
£115 introductory price for subscribers to The Beautiful Chaos. This includes the food sensitivities test, personalised nutrition plan, lifestyle recommendations. Follow-ups are £55 and can be done online.
Please drop me an email if you are interested in working together. While video calling is great and has transformed so many of our clinic offerings, working in real-life is pretty unbeatable and I can’t wait to do more of this now I am finally in my clinic.
